Prior to my academic career, I spent over a decade working in advertising and public relations from within the private and public sectors. Much of my technical expertise is grounded in this applied foundation and continues to be utilized in service of higher education.

Audience-Centered Outreach & Communications

As synthetic interation becomes more commonplace with GAI, the human-to-human connection is more invaluable than ever. My outreach and communication efforts are rooted in a collaborative spirit, valuing accessibility, and direct engagement.

Digital Storytelling

My approach to storytelling builds off of placemaking – a combination of community, the values of that community, and the spaces in which those values are imbued. Using a variety of digital tools, I am then able to craft immersive, spatial stories that the “reader” may explore.

Written Communications

The strength of my communications skills comes, in part, from my ability to write with a multiple of voices. Whether it is a technical report, a casual blog post, or a press release, my focus is always on the needs of the audience.

Audio + Visual Design

Of all my skillsets, multimedia content creation is the most extensive. Since my earliest visual design roles, I have expanded into audio recording and podcast production, livestreaming technologies, and AR/VR development.
